Resin Cure Time Tracker

Stop guessing. Start curing. Dial in the perfect schedule for bubble‑free, crystal‑clear casts every time.

Whether you are doming a tiny pendant or casting a deep river table, cure timing is everything. Too fast and you trap bubbles or overheat the piece. Too slow and dust settles into your tacky surface. Our calculator blends real‑world data from leading resin brands with your exact conditions — layer thickness, ambient temperature, and resin type — to give you a minute‑by‑minute curing plan you can trust.

Why Cure Timing Matters

Bubble Prevention

Resin naturally releases bubbles during the initial gel phase. If you cure too fast with UV or high heat, those bubbles become permanent. A slower, controlled ramp lets them rise and pop naturally before the resin locks them in place.

Heat Management

Exothermic reactions in epoxy can generate enough heat to yellow the resin, crack a mold, or even warp delicate inclusions. Our calculator adjusts for ambient temperature so you never exceed the safe thermal envelope for your brand.

Layer Bonding

When pouring multiple layers, timing the next pour is critical. Pour too soon and you disturb the previous layer. Wait too long and you need to sand between coats. We give you the exact window for a chemical bond without sanding.

Pro Tips for Perfect Cures

  • Pre-warm your resin. Place bottles in a warm water bath (25–30 °C) for 10 minutes before mixing. This reduces micro‑bubbles and shortens gel time without overheating.
  • Use a dust cover. During the tack‑free phase, your piece is a magnet for airborne particles. A simple overturned container works better than a heat lamp.
  • Record your conditions. Save each schedule with a note about the project. Over time you will build a personal database that beats any generic chart.
  • UV lamps degrade. If your UV resin takes longer than calculated, the lamp intensity may have dropped. Replace bulbs every 6–12 months for consistent results.
